A flat, opaque benitoite crystal, included with crossite (a 'stony'). This crystal is complete and undamaged all around - a floater - and has complex surface growth patterns. As is typical for the species, it displays a brilliant blue-white fluorescence under shortwave UV. Not the prettiest benitoite - and certainly not cutting rough - but an affordable example of the California state gemstone.
