A quartz-lined geode, cleanly split. One piece hosts a group of rusty gypsum blades and needles to 1.1 cm. Limonite replacements of pyrite are also present with the gypsum, with three arranged aesthetically along the longest gypsum needle. These pseudomorphs (barely visible in the close-up photo) are best viewed under magnification: hand lens, microscope or camera lens.
