Perhaps the most obvious feature of this busy specimen are the colorless, translucent quartz points which extend to 5.3 cm above the matrix. Also present are numerous platy, brassy pyrite pseudomorphs after pyrrhotite, opaque white calcite rhombs, lustrous and sharp, black sphalerites, a few water clear, colorless fluorite octahedra, and (finally) some scattered galena. This specimen has a lot to explore with hand lens or camera lens! Sits beautifully for display on its naturally flat base. I see one incomplete quartz crystal, but otherwise (ignoring the usual back and edge issues) the specimen is in quite fine condition. A previous collection label gives a 1985 mining or acquisition date.
