A mound of golden yellow muscovite crystals. Sometimes called 'star muscovite' because the points are often arranged in a star pattern. In this example some of the tips are matted a worn, as we might expect from such a soft and easily cleaved species. Small, brecciated feldspar fragments are interspersed among the muscovite crystal groups. Sits quite nicely for display as shown on its naturally flat base. This material was once abundant but good examples are now hard to find.
