A matrix of light pink, massive to microcrystalline manganoan calcite hosts a 4.9 cm, mostly clear selenite gypsum cleavage. (The pink may also contain some rhodonite.) This matrix shows pinkish fluorescence under both longwave UV (blacklight) and shortwave UV. Unidentified, crusty to crystalline black material is also present; this is likely a manganese mineral (or mixture thereof). A locality specimen.
