A gemmy, light lilac kunzite blade forms the 'sail' of this pegmatite association specimen. This kunzite is doubly terminated, nicely striated, and (as is typical for the species) shows its deepest color along the c-axis. The matrix consist of glassy to lightly frosted, water-clear to translucent quartz crystals and massive to bladed albite. A very typical gem pegmatite association specimen. The star of this specimen -- the kunzite is free of damage. Really needs a stand to sit perfectly for display. Only rarely do you see an undamaged kunzite of this size on matrix at this price.
