Numerous clefts and crevices of the white matrix are filled with bright bubble gum pink, distinctly crystalline rhodochrosite. The largest distinct crystal measures 8 mm. In places the rhodochrosite is partly to fully covered with a microcrystalline quartz coat, rendering it quite sparkly. Quartz points to a few mm in size, and a pale green but gemmy 1 cm fluorite group are also present. Sawn base facilitates display. No damage to speak of. Put some pink in your mineral cabinet with this classic western Colorado rhodochrosite!
