Scheelite and Fluorite
Mt Xuebaoding, Pingwu County, Mianyang, Sichuan, China
Miniature - 4.6 x 4.2 x 3.3 cm (1.8 x 1.7 x 1.3 inches)
86 grams (0.19 pounds)
Specimen status: Sold

a 3.4 cm wide scheelite crystal with burnt orange color sits on muscovite and beryl matrix pedestal. Small parts of the scheelite - mostly the corners -- are gemmy, and the luster varies from sublustrous to somewhat glassy. Displays the traditional bright fluorescence under shortwave UV (second photo). Small, colorless fluorites ate scattered about on one face. Some chips and contacts are seen but overall fine condition for the price. Displays nicely on its matrix pedestal without needing external support.
