Cerussite
Flux Mine, Flux Gulch, Alum Gulch, Harshaw Mining District, Patagonia Mountains, Santa Cruz County, Arizona
Miniature - 3.3 x 3.2 x 3.0 cm (1.3 x 1.3 x 1.2 inches)
7 grams (0.02 pounds)
Specimen status: Sold

The Flux Mine has long been famous for spectacular, snow white, jackstraw cerussite specimens, which are often quite pricey. This example is snow white, silky, lustrous, and undamaged (except where detached from matrix), but certainly not pricey. Looks like some sort of airy, modern art sculpture. An Arizona classic in miniature that has multiple display angles not needing a stand. Previous dealer label with $40 price tag.
