A calcite/dolomite matrix hosts several mirror-bright carrollite singles and clusters, some having a natural slightly melted appearance, and reaching 8 mm in size. Also present are some colorless quartz crystals, and patches of an unidentified iridescent, metallic mineral (bornite?). The matrix has been etched to better reveal the carrollites, leaving an etch pattern tends to match a calcite/dolomite rhombohedral cleavage pattern. The carrollites have scattered small chips and cracks, which is common in affordable specimens from this locality, but none of this is objectionable at this price. Displays well.
