A spray of glassy, nicely transparent and terminated selenite gypsum blades, partially coated with a crust of white hydrozincite (identified visually) towards the root. Although Mindat does not list hydrozincite at this locality, this mineral is a common associate with gypsum in the region. In addition, the coating fluoresces white under both longwave UV (blacklight) and shortwave UV. It also effervesces when treated with dilute hydrochloric acid. The specimen is in overall very fine condition.
