Sharp, translucent hydroboracite crystals on a somewhat friable, sandy matrix. Individual crystals reach about 1 cm in size. Very typical for the species and locality. Hydroboracite is hydrated calcium magnesium borate, CaMg[B3O4(OH)3]2 ยท 3 H2O. Sits well for display. From the collection of the late Jim Minette, noted borate expert.
