A cluster of large, deep blue-green, opaque diopside crystals. Contacted and a little cleaved in some spots, but the main crystals are both terminated. The white material is calcite; this could easily be removed with acid treatment, without jeopardizing the structural integrity of the specimen. Ex John Grimes collection; his handwritten label which accompanies the specimen indicates it was collected in August of 1998.
