| 41676: Microcline and Hematite - $20 Lake George area, Park County, Colorado Small cabinet - 7.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm 116 grams Illustrated: Mineral Specimen Cleaning and Development for the Amateur, page 91 Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A well-formed, nicely terminated
microcline crystal rendered brown due to inclusion of
hematite (or some other iron hydroxide/oxides mineral)
beneath the surface. A few small green blue areas are seen
but not enough to merit the amazonite moniker. Overall
condition is quite nice. Illustrated on page 91 of my new
book Mineral Specimen Cleaning and Development for the
Amateur.
