A water clear gypsum crystal with interesting morphology. The broadly over-used term 'selenite' should only apply to colorless, transparent gypsum; this specimen however deserves the moniker. From a locality best known for jeremejevite, a rare aluminum borate - Al6(BO3)5(F,OH)3. Excellent condition. Currently mounted in a standard 'Perkie' thumbnail box on a spray painted styrofoam base, but you can remount it on a clear acrylic base described here.
