Colorless and sparkling quartz crystals to about 8 mm abundant on a sphalerite matrix mound. Excellent condition and very displayable on its naturally flat base. Quartz specimens of this nature are uncommon in mineral collections; of the 415 Joplin Field specimen photos at Mindat, only 2 include quartz as a major component.
