04574: Tourmaline, Albite, and Muscovite - $40
Elizabeth R Mine, Pala District, San Diego County, California
Cabinet - 10.1 x 4.8 x 4.3 cm (4.0 x 1.9 x 1.7 inches)
Specimen status: Available     Send email to order

This specimen is a large, fat black tourmaline crystal (most likely schorl but one cannot determine tourmaline species solely based on color), with a contact termination on one end (left on first picture) and broken on the other. Accented with scattered white albite and a bit of muscovite. Other than the incomplete termination this specimen has no damage to speak of. Personally collected November 2004.
