08896: Wulfenite
Glove Mine, Tyndall District, Santa Cruz County, Arizona
Miniature - 5.3 x 3.7 x 3.0 cm (2.1 x 1.5 x 1.2 inches)
Weight - 20 grams (0.04 pounds)
Specimen status: Sold

Most often when we think of Glove Mine wulfenite, we think of thin (often brittle), tabular crystals. However with this specimen the wulfenite exhibits a bipyramidal habit, with truncated terminations (perhaps more commonly seen in Ojuela Mine wulfenites). These sharp wulfenites rest on a gossan matrix. Somewhat unusual specimen for the Glove Mine.
