Weight - 380 grams (0.84 pounds)
Specimen status: Sold

A beautiful deep blue pentagonite spray sits at the bottom of a sparkling, heulandite-lined basalt cavity. The pentagonite cluster is 2.4 cm wide, with one single needle reaching 1.4 in length! One pentagonite cluster top has been lopped off, but this is only a distraction under magnification. Three years ago Indian mineral wholesalers indicate that the cavansite-producing quarries are either worked out, flooded, or otherwise abandoned, and the cavansite/pentagonite supply is now only a trickle of what it was on the past, with no immediate hopes for more production.
