Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia  Type locality for arsentsumebite
Small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.4 x 3.8 cm (3.3 x 2.1 x 1.5 inches)
Weight - 210 grams (0.46 pounds)
Specimen status: Sold

Multiple surfaces are covered with a deep blue, lustrous azurite carpet, in which individual azurites reach 7.8 mm. Most of the azurites are elongated and platy but a few are blocky. Scattered about the azurites -- and provided wonderful color contrast -- are patches of green, microcrystalline arsentsumebite. Opaque to transparent cerussites, topping out at 4 mm, are also present. A Tsumeb classic, and in excellent condition. Displays quite nicely.
