23819: Chalcopyrite and Quartz

Miniature - 3.9 x 3.1 x 2.3 cm (1.5 x 1.2 x 0.9 inches)
Specimen status: Sold

A small miniature specimen, composed of a spray of milky, translucent to opaque quartz crystals perched on a very dark chalcopyrite crystal cluster. The largest quartz is 3.9 cm long and doubly terminated. The chalcopyrite cluster forms a natural display stand. No damage. Probably from the Cobre Mine. Old material - from a horde assembled in the 1970's.
