A rather bizarre calcite crystal cluster, glassy, sparkling, and transparent to opaque. In places the crystal growth is bent and twisted, with a white 'string' core, like ice on a thin twig. Clearer and glassier than my lousy photos suggest. Just...weird. Some cleaved spots, mostly on the base.
