The front face of this specimen bears a rich coverage of sparkling and lustrous, deep blue azurite crystals reaching 1.2 cm, set among, on, and under a carpet of deep brown goethite. Scattered about this are numerous malachite pseudomorphs after cuprite, many showing a very distinct octahedral shape (especially on the reverse side). The reverse side has less azurite but here the crystals are larger, up to 1.7 cm. Classic Bisbee! Except for the usual edge issues, no damage. Displays nicely on a stand. Previous old dealer label with a price of $450.
