Here we have a classic ramshorn gypsum, translucent, snow-white and sparkly, with a half-circle curvature. Rough where removed from matrix (as is typical with these specimens), but complete (although a bit sugary) at the termination, where the curve diverges into two arcs. A beautiful and undamaged (surprising given the softness of this mineral) example of this classic Mexican material! (And a pox on all those who label gypsum as just 'wallboard ore'.)
