Multiple clumps of dark brown hubeite crystals to 5 mm on translucent, crystalline quartz, with the longest terminated quartz point measuring 5.7 cm. Translucent, pale grey calcite also present. Hubeite is a calcium manganese iron sorosilicate - Ca2Mn2+Fe3+Si4O12(OH)ยท2H2O, for which the Fengjiashan Mine is the type locality. A globally rare species; Mindat reports just three known localities.
