Clefts in a surprisingly heavy (lead or manganese rich?) grey matrix rock host nondescript, massive to crystalline calcite. This calcite displays bright red fluorescence under shortwave UV. Of greatest interest here, however is the provenance: the specimen carries an old, handwritten label from Harry von Eckermanns.
