These specimens began as pyrite crystals, which over time were faithfully replaced (pseudomorphed) by goethite. One specimen is a complete (albeit slightly elongated cube) while the other is a stepped cube with a top 'parasite' crystal (maybe a twin?) and contacted on the back. Two specimens from a locality famous for this pseudomorph type.
