A small, well-formed cuprite crystal, with excellent red translucency, set inside a small matrix vug. Sadly, the cuprite bears a small chip. Best appreciated under magnification: hand lens, microscope or camera lens. Mounted on a clear acrylic square base, which fits neatly inside a standard plastic 'Perkie' thumbnail box (which accompanies the specimen).
