Light yellow brown calcite crystals carpet the floor of a matrix cavity. A few gypsum crystals are also present; the best of these is transparent, doubly terminated and measures 1.4 cm. Displays white fluorescence under both longwave (blacklight) and shortwave ultraviolet light. Very nice condition. Sits perfectly for display on its sawn base (the tough matrix necessitates sawing for collecting or trimming without disturbing attached crystals). Carries an old (La Jolla address) The Arkenstone label. I purchased this specimen in November, 1999.
