A stout tourmaline crystal, mostly a light, translucent minty green with a blue cap, from....India! Doubly terminated; the base appears to be a lightly healed break. Colored tourmalines from this northern union territory are quite rare, a few having only appeared briefly a few decades ago and are now quite hard to find. Previous dealer label gives the locality as the state of Himachal Pradesh, near the correct locality, and quite possibly given to mask the actual locality. This specimen is in superb, displayable condition.
