A terminated aquamarine crystal. The bottom third is translucent and grayish while the remainder is highly translucent to transparent and light blue. Through much of the specimen's length we see hollow growth tubes, running parallel to the crystal's long axis as well as parallel to nearly empty voids in beryl's molecular structure. The six prism faces and termination are complete. Some nondescript, white feldspar is present, as well as a few small dark brown to black tourmaline crystals on the termination. Currently attached to an acrylic stand, from which the aquamarine is easily detached if desired.
