A 2.4 cm tourmaline crystal on a matrix of partial quartz crystals. The tourmaline is dark green to black at the base, with a sudden transition to a transparent, light yellow-green zone at the pyramidal termination. The sudden transition from a dark shaft to a gemmy, green to colorless termination is common among Stak Nala tourmalines, but rare elsewhere. Sighting along the incomplete base shows the tourmaline has a dark core and thin, much lighter colored, outer rind. Excellent triangular structure. A chip on the front is noted.
