On July 6, 2003 I had the opportunity to collect a pocket at the Oceanview Mine which was rich in columbite and etched aquamarines; hence I named this the Columbite Pocket. Here we have a large and complex microcline crystal from that pocket. As is typical for microcline from this mine, the specimen has a glassy luster and a light gray color. This crystal is complete all around with no obvious point of attachment; a floater. No damage.
