This highly unusual red beryl specimen features a sparkling druze or crust of tiny, pink beryl crystals over one face of a flat rhyolite matrix. Many individual crystals are doubly terminated and gemmy. I have never seen a red beryl crust like this on another specimen (the Mindat red beryl gallery doesn't have one like it), and the pink color is unusual as well. Something different from Utah!
