27325: Beryl (variety Aquamarine) with Tourmaline
Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Small cabinet - 7.4 x 2.2 x 1.9 cm (2.9 x 0.9 x 0.7 inches)
Specimen status: Sold

This doubly-terminated aquamarine crystal has a delicate blue color and is nearly 100% transparent. Both terminations of the main crystal and the sidecar crystal are somewhat etched, but not damaged. The luster is glassy and quite nice. Inclusions of thin black tourmaline crystals add accent. There is a patch of feldspar and muscovite on the back where removed from matrix. Overall a very nice and displayable, undamaged aquamarine crystal.
