From the noted San Diego and Riverside Counties gem pegmatite collection of Jim Bowersox we have a light yellow triphane crystal, complete all around, with etched terminations (as is common with gem spodumenes). The color is best seen when illuminated along the length of the specimen (the c-axis). Nearly 100% water-clear and gem quality. The Bowersox collection card and previous labels (both included) indicate Jerry Wentling sold the specimen to Lewis Land, and it was later transferred to Kristalle of Laguna Beach, California. A very nice and quite large example for the species from the locality.
