A colorless, highly transparent gypsum crystal, well formed, with scattered, dark inclusions. The specimen has two smaller sidecar crystals, which penetrate somewhat into the main crystal. Despite the softness (Mohs hardness 2) and ease of cleavage for this species, this near-textbook crystal is in fine condition. Although the locality is not listed on Mindat, this is a classic American locality among gypsum or Kansas mineral collectors.
