This colorless spodumene is nicely
translucent (more so than my lousy photos suggest) and
doubly terminated. Natural etching adds appeal (recall
that this species is easily etched under natural
conditions). Outside of the etching the specimen is
complete all around (no breaks or cleaves) and undamaged.
Accompanied by a Walt Lidstrom
label which dates the specimen to sometime before 1977.
