A terminated 'finger' (or 'cigar') of
black tourmaline. Like most other tourmaline samples, the
precise species of this specimen cannot be determined
visually (chemical analysis is necessary); it might be
schorl or foitite. (Some collectors label any black
tourmaline as schorl, but black tourmaline may also be
foitite, dravite, uvite or even elbaite.) Superb
condition. Previous dealer label with a $75 price tag.
